We’re excited to announce the first release of our Lattice Design Suite (LDS). Over the past few months, we’ve worked hard to bring our lattice design software to a level where it’s ready to share. So if you’re an engineer, architect, or lattice enthusiast, you can now try LDS in Fusion for Windows or macOS .

In short, what is it again?

LDS is our flagship software for designing conformal lattice structures, combining a traditional CAD approach with advanced algorithms for lattice generation. Rachel has written an excellent article with more details about our approach here.

Features

Our documentation has everything you need to get started with LDS. In short, the first release supports:

  • Sketching and designing conformal 3D lattice structures

  • Extruding lattice structures with a range of options for cell types, layers, and more

  • Lofting between sketches

  • Revolving a sketch into a lattice structure

  • Basic insert support

  • Exporting to formats like DXF

What’s Next?

We’re continuously expanding our plugin to better support our engineers.

Beyond ongoing improvements to boost efficiency and usability, we're now focused on the next big milestone: FEM-based optimization of lattice structures. This will allow structures to be automatically optimized based on specific load cases, helping engineers design lighter, stronger, and more efficient parts with minimal manual tweaking.

Stay tuned as we roll out updates and share more about how this integration will shape the future of lattice design!
